Egg Harbor’s sand beach is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Door County. Rent a standup paddleboard or kayak. Take a Sunset Paddleboard cruise. The beach also offers large modern restrooms, a playground, parking and walking paths with lookout seating. (We supply beach towels, an umbrella and a cooler for your days at the beach.)

Take in a spectacular sunset from Harbor View Park’s elevated vantage point, widely considered to be the best public spot in Door County to view sunsets. (Perched higher on the escarpment bluffs, we think the sunsets here at Egg Cottage are even better.)

Egg Harbor is the most centrally-located village for access to Door County brewers, distillers and vintners. Door County’s original micro-brewery, Shipwrecked Brew Pub, is in the heart of Egg Harbor. A few doors away visit Hatch Distilling’s tasting room (vodka, gin, bourbon, brandy and rum  from local honey and organic grains. ) Don’t skip the outdoor beer patio at the One Barrel Brewing and Wild Pizza Bros. combo.  The wonderful Door County Brewing Co. is a short 13 minute drive straight across the peninsula in Baileys Harbor. If you’re doing the Official Wine Trail you’ll find that Egg Harbor is the most centrally located village to explore all of the Northern Door wineries.

Enjoy the outstanding summer Peg Egan “Sunset Concert Series” on Sundays at 7pm and the Harbor View Park “Concerts in the Park” series on Thursdays at 5pm. Carry-ins are welcome as are lawn chairs and blankets. (We provide picnic supplies so guests can fully take advantage of these wonderful events.)  Additionally,  several Egg Harbor businesses offer free live music throughout the season.

Enjoy the incredible sailboat display, thanks to Egg Harbor’s state-of-the-art marina offering the best deep-water sailing access on the Peninsula. Consequently, there’s a weekly 9am Saturday Regatta – where 10 – 20 sailboats race around the waters of Egg Harbor. (You can enjoy the sailboat display from the Egg Cottage gazebo and yard – be sure your stay includes a Saturday morning). The marina is a full service public marina – fish from the pier, take a stroll, or grab a bench and take in the view and the gorgeous Egg Harbor sunsets.
