COYOTE ROADHOUSE
SINCE THE 1920'S
Coyote Roadhouse is located on the snowmobile trail and because of its inland (not on one of our two coastal highways) you’ll find a high proportion of locals here. In the summer, there’s an outdoor patio with seating that looks out over Kangaroo Lake.
The building houses some real history – if you look closely you’ll see names from the past carved into the wall behind the bar. That wall, as well as the stone wall at the entrance, are from the original building first located in what is now Peninsula Park. During Prohibition the original building was both a private home and club. In the 1940s the building was moved here to the edge of Kangaroo Lake.
Tip: Try the onion loaf, it’s ridiculously large and equally magnificent.
