The Wickman House is one of the finest restaurants in Door County and is named after the property’s first owner, Andrew Wickman, a Swede who immigrated in 1872.
BEST FOR: Beautiful evenings spent in the outdoor garden with your pre-dinner drink. Magical.
The restaurant emphasizes sustainable agriculture and showcases a menu featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and gardens. They also have their own garden onsite and many of the menu’s key ingredients come right from their own backyard.
None of that would mean much if the food wasn’t excellent, and it is. Wickman House is another wonderful, relaxed, beautiful spot for a memorable dinner.
INSIDER TIP: The excellent craft cocktails are almost as famous as the food. At a minimum, be sure to peruse the evening’s libations menu.
