Also new at Chives in 2020 – they’ve opened a Chives “food court” offering a Grill Truck, Pizza Truck and Outside Bar. Located right next door to Chives restaurant in Bailey’s Harbor. Weds-Sun 11am-8pm. (Tentative upon Weather & Walking Traffic.) View Food Court Menu

Chives is one of the original farm to table restaurants in Wisconsin, opening this Baileys Harbor outpost in 2014.  It’s a tradition for us. (Susan orders the French Onion soup 99.9% of the time.)

BEST FOR: Pleasing everyone in the dining party.  Chives aims to offer selections for all,  from the Foodie to the Traditionalist.

The menu is executed around two key guiding principals, Farm-to-Table and Made-from-Scratch.  The chef and his team plant and harvest their own garden on the property. They have their own baker, make their own ice cream, their own juices and even their own sweet & sour cocktail mix.

They also have an in-house Certified Sommelier and are the recipients of the Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence 2018”, making this another nice spot for an impromptu drink at the bar with a few small bites.

INSIDER TIP #1:  They have three evergreen, not-going-anywhere fan favorite menu items.  You won’t go wrong sampling the Steak Fritte, Chicken & Goat Cheese Wontons or the Free Range Chicken Marsala.

INSIDER TIP #2:  The French Onion Soup is inspired by the Thomas Keller French Laundry version and It. Is. Good.
